Supporting social projects within our community!
A simple, fun and easy concept that makes a real difference to the lives of many!
What we do?
Dinners That Matter is a social initiative with the goal of raising awareness about social realities in our community and fostering proximity. We do this by offering support and generating fantastic and positive relationships among all who participate as well as restaurants, entities and committed companies.
A simple and fun way of helping a good cause!
4 delicious evenings – 4 causes that make a difference
How we work?
Each quarter we raise awareness and share knowledge on one of the four causes, highlighting the specific circumstances of those in need and the people that help them on a day-to-day basis.
On a set date, without any extras added to your bill, a group of collaborating restaurants generously donate 25% of that evening’s takings directly to the selected local project.
Each dinner is dedicated to a different cause.
Our Mission · More than just a number
When you mention a ‘non-profit’ event, the first thing everyone asks is: “How much did you raise?”
While raising funds is an important part of what we do at DinnersThatMatter, being a ‘non-profit’ is about so much more than just a number.
Knowledge is power, and with power comes the ability to make a difference in someone’s life. So our true goal is to help give local causes a voice and get their message to as many as people as possible.
We are raising awareness about those in our communities who suffer in silence, and who live unimaginable journeys yet do so with unwavering strength and courage.
We are supporting those foundations that are working tirelessly to ease the suffering of those in need.
We are collaborating with restaurants and businesses to be able to raise funds with our quarterly dinners, and in doing so build a network that provides ongoing support to those in need in our city.
We are all working together to make sure that those in need in our communities do not go unheard.
Next Dinner: December 12, 2018
Alzheimer Catalunya has been working for those with dementia since 1988, and they believe that although coexisting is difficult, this is not a reason to stop living life and continuing to be part of our society.
